Saturday morning, I come down to the breakfast table and am met with my inquisitive parents: "__(your name)___, can you please explain why there are eight pink, plastic flamingos stuck in our front yard?"
Write a short story to explain the following prompt. The length is up to you--it does not have to be a book, but it should be long enough to complete the story.

Spend some time pondering a paradox. I have provided some examples for you with a couple of lists, but feel free to provide a different one if you would like. I am not sure there is a way to necessarily solve these, I just want you to ponder one--maybe provide a hypothetical to go along with the paradox, or what I would really like to see is some creativity: can it be solved? Again, you only have to pick one to blog about, but feel free to include more if you like. You can simply pick one that has always "got you" when you ponder it, and you can just explain why it has messed with you. Enjoy!
Sample lists you can work from (or you can look up your own): http://www.lifehack.org/304503/10-crazy-paradoxes-that-will-blow-your-mind https://www.buzzfeed.com/tabathaleggett/philosophical-questions-that-get-harder-the-longer-you-th?utm_term=.jsxJJGgZO#.wfgVVNowW In honor of the Grammys, at this moment, what is the greatest song in the world and why? If you would like to name an artist or an album instead of a song, that is fair. As you ponder this, think about how you discovered the song, how the song makes you feel, etc. "It sounds good" will be too short of a response.
Example: For me, right now, I would say "Tiny Dancer" by Elton John is the greatest song in the world. I have always liked this song, but it continues to get better. I am not sure when I first heard the song or began to like it, but I have just always known the song. In college, I had a friend who thought the words were "Hold me closer, Tony Danza" which is something I think of every time I hear the song. Also while I was in college, the movie Almost Famous came out, and the song plays a large role. In the movie, a band is struggling to stay together, and this song comes on in the band's bus--everyone in the bus begins to sing the song together, and the song serves as an ice breaker for the band to get back together. Every single time the song comes on, I instinctively turn it up, and I have to sing along. Okay, you have made it to your 8th and final semester. What do you have left to do? For this post, I want you to create a 2nd Semester of Senior Year Bucket List--what do you want to do between now and graduation? Please keep it appropriate for a school blog
